The Midwestern State University African Students Organization Alumni Association, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Cynthia Ileso as Vice President of the Association.

Ms. Ileso, a proud alumna from Nigeria, brings dedication and a strong commitment to the Association’s mission of connecting alumni, supporting scholarship, and celebrating our shared heritage. She joins President Dorene Etarock and the rest of the Executive Team in advancing the goals set forth in our Constitution.

Role and Responsibilities

In accordance with the Association’s Constitution, the Vice President is responsible for:

  • Implementing the Association’s vision and mission
  • Running meetings in the absence of the President
  • Overseeing the daily workflow of the organization in coordination with executive leadership
  • Strengthening the relationship between committees and members
  • Serving as Chairperson of the Constitution Committee

Ms. Ileso steps into this role at an exciting time for the Association — following our recognition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in good standing and the launch of our inaugural 2026 Scholarship program.

A Welcome from the Executive Team

Please join the Executive Team in welcoming Ms. Ileso to her new role. Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow our membership, expand programming, and serve the broader MSU African alumni community.

We look forward to the contributions she will make in the years ahead.
