Celebrating Our Inaugural Scholar, Ms. Mmesoma Unachukwu

Earlier this year, Mmesoma Unachukwu was named one of the four inaugural recipients of the MSU ASO Alumni Association scholarship program. This May, she walked across the stage at Midwestern State University to earn her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computational Science — a milestone for her, her family, and our Association.

Mmesoma shared this message with us:

“As I graduate this May 2026, I want to first thank God for His guidance and blessings throughout this journey. I am also deeply grateful to my family, friends, and professors for their constant support, encouragement, and belief in me. Most importantly, I want to acknowledge myself for the hard work, perseverance, and dedication it took to reach this milestone.

Earning my degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computational Science has been a rewarding experience, and I am excited for the opportunities ahead. I am currently searching for engineering opportunities where I can apply my skills, continue learning, and grow professionally in the engineering field.
